Egbers Flighting Company started as a small blacksmith shop in the 1920s on the family farm doing farm repairs, and in having the first welder in the area they quickly became the place to go for farmers to get their equipment repaired.
In the 1970s Alfred & Beverly Egbers, the second generation in the farm repair business, started to get more into auger repair and sales to other repair shops. During the 1980s and 1990s Egbers auger flighting sales expanded to the east and west coasts. In 2000 Doug, Alfred and Beverly’s youngest son, decided to take over the family business. Doug expanded the business to making custom heavy duty augers for Coop elevators and other large scale grain facilities. Doug also added a computerized balancing machine for combine and grain cart augers.
