Welcome to Uehling, Nebraska!
We are a small town with a big heart! This page will help you navigate local events and businesses! We may be small, but we offer a variety of services and seasonal events for rural communities in our area!
If you have never been to Uehling, NE before, let us introduce you to it!
Uehling was founded in 1905 by Theodore Uehling who sold some of his ground to the Burlington and Missouri Railroad. It became incorporated in 1906. The founding was largely in part due to the Uehling family having multiple businesses in town. The Uehling family helped establish the Uehling School, a general store, two hotels, a drug store, and the Uehling Press Newspaper. Theodore Uehling established the first general store in town. The town had two churches, the Congregational Church and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. The Congregational Church is no longer in existence along with many of the other original businesses and the school. The town continues to thrive even through the changes that have taken place through time.
The town is very lucky to have several small businesses in town, and many small businesses in the area that continue to support the town and surrounding areas. The Uehling Town Offices have recently been moved to the north end of town in the old fire station and the maintenance crew houses some of their equipment there. The Uehling Fire and Rescue have built a new facility on the main highway that runs through town and we are fortunate to have a large volunteer crew. We are always seeking more volunteers. You will find a list of the small businesses in the menu. We hope you will use that directory for your needs.

We will continue to update this as we get closer to the event, but you can plan on a community garage sale, parade, barbeque, bingo, games at the park, and fireworks by Midlands Pyrtotechnic at Dusk.

Mark your calendar for an amazing day in Uehling, NE filled with fun, games, parade, barbeque, UFFDA kids production, bounce houses, foam party, Kickball Slip-n-Slide Tournament, VR Experience, and MORE! Fireworks by the Midland Pyrotechnic Association! Join us for the fun! Stay up-to-date with events at our new website! Note: Some events have a fee, bring some cash!
Highlights:
9 AM-3PM Village-Wide Garage Sale
1PM Kiddie Tractor Pull- West Side of Uehling Auditorium
2 PM Kickball Slip-n-Slide @ park / $60 per team with minimum for 6 per team| Sign-Up by June 15|Form on Website| Cash Prizes (ages 13+ with parental consent) More information on Kickball Page
4 PM Parade Line Up
4:30 PM Parade (route on website)
5:30 PM BBQ @ Auditorium| $10 per plate
5:30 PM Mr. IceCream @ Auditorium, then later at the Park| Bring Cash
6 PM UFFDA kids performance @ Auditorium| Donations always accepted for props and scripts
6-9 PM Bounce houses and Kiddie Train @ Park
7:30-9 PM Virtual Reality Trailer @ Park| 15 minute for $10- Purchase at VR Trailer
7-9 PM Bingo @ Auditorium| Cash
Beer Garden @ Tennis Court in the Park and Auditorium
7:30-9 PM Foam Party @ Park - Bring a change of clothes or towel and shoes that can get wet.
Dusk: Fireworks Display by Midlands Pyrotechnic Assoc.
Also, at the park will be: Face painting, kettle corn, roasted almonds and shaved ice. Girl Scouts will have drinks and more.
Parade route: Will start @ Auditorium and go east to Elm Street, then south to 8th street, then west to Main street and back to the auditorium. See Parade page for a map of where to line up at.
NOTE: Some events will require cash. Bring some pocket change so you can enjoy it all!
